Summer Institute is designed as a training opportunity for College Admission reps and High School Counselors with less than one year of experience, with separate tracks for each group. Topics include introduction to the profession, travel tips, strategies for effective high school / college visits and college fairs, ethical issues within education, the campus visit and student interviews, application processes, presentations from current professionals, Financial Aid 101, professional networking, getting involved with IACAC and NACAC, writing essays, and more. Along with the support you will receive from your colleagues in the office, you will create an additional network of peers to support your development as a professional.
